Ivanić Grad, a town with a population of about 15,000, is situated in the Moslavina region on the Lonja River, right off the Zagreb–Lipovac motorway. It is 38 km from Zagreb.The main economic branches are the production of oil and gas, agriculture, livestock, the chemical industry and metal processing. Medium and small enterprises are based on the provision of services in construction, tourism, hospitality and trade.Ivanić Grad was first mentioned in the 13th century (1246). The passing centuries left a rich historical and cultural legacy, and many monuments worth seeing. The town is also known for its vicinity to the Naftalan health resort.
